ANCIENT WMD'S(WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION)

On August 6 and 9,1945, United States of America dropped two powerful atomic bombs codenamed as “Little Boy” and “Fat Man” over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The intention of USA behind these bombings was to make Japan surrender and end one of the worst Catastrophic military conflict in the history of mankind popularly known as World War 2. However, this was not the first nuclear explosion that took place. On July 16 1945, a nuclear test codenamed as “Trinity” was carried out by the Americans at a New Mexico desert. Operation “Trinity” for the first time gave mankind a glimpse into what a powerful nuclear chain reaction can do. Few days after, the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki gave mankind the destructive ability to destroy and level cities within seconds. But was it really the first time that humans possessed such a weapon at their disposal or was it history repeating itself. There are many evidences that somehow or someway suggest the existence of a superior race in the past. Many of us might have heard about the lost city of Atlantis. A rumored city that is believed to had technological advancements way ahead of its time. However, its existence is still a topic of debate. A more concrete example in this regard can be derived from the Indus valley civilization. The civilization had an urban way of lifestyle. The people from this civilization had excess to many  privileges of today’s world such as well-structured underground drainage system, multi storey buildings and so on. Till this date there’s uncertainty about how this great civilization became extinct. In the city of Mohenjo-Daro belonging to the very same civilization, researchers have found traces of radiation possibly from a nuclear reaction. They also found skeletons holding hands as if they were facing a sudden apocalypse at the time of death. This discovery left many wondering whether this once great civilization could have been wiped out by a nuclear warfare. However, there are other possibilities as well that could explain as to why such a civilization vanished over time.
                  Operation “Trinity” was carried out to test a nuclear device at a desert of New Mexico on July 16,1945. The device was detonated atop a tower. When the device went off triggering a powerful nuclear reaction, the tower instantly turned to ashes and the heat of the blast turned the desert sand into a particular light green glass called as trinitite.  Now what’s interesting is that a very same identical glass to that of trinitite was found at a necklace from the tomb of Tutankhamun (Egyptian Pharaoh). This glass stone is actually called as the Libyan desert glass and could be found in fragments over the areas of the Sahara Desert. Now the question arises under what circumstances could have been this desert glass formed. Was it a nuclear explosion that melted the sand into this fine stone?
                  The great Hindu epics of Mahabharata and Ramayana mentions in this regard of a very powerful weapon called as the “Brahmastra”.  In the Ramayana Lord Rama used this powerful weapon against the army of Ravana and in the epic of Mahabharata there are many instances where this powerful weapon was used. Now did such a weapon existed around 7000bc? The following is an extract taken from the great epic of Mahabharata in which the power of Brahmastra is described;

        “A single projectile charged with all the power in the Universe…. An incandescent column of smoke and flame as bright as 10,000 suns, rose in all its splendor… it was an unknown weapon, an iron thunderbolt, a gigantic messenger of death which reduced to ashes an entire race. The corpses were so burned as to be unrecognizable. Their hair and nails fell out, pottery broke without any apparent cause, and the birds turned white. After a few hours, all foodstuffs were infected. To escape this fire, the soldiers threw themselves into the river.”

The above aforesaid stanza perfectly fits the description of a nuclear blast and the aftermath that follows it. If the ancient people or the ancient race was unknown to the concept of a weapon of such large scale destruction, then how could they possibly predict nuclear explosion thousands of years before it actually took place with such perfection. The battle of Kurushetra between the pandavas and the kauravas that took place for 18 days resulted in the casualties of around 1.5 billion people. If weapons of such magnitude were not used than how could a battle that took place for a few couple of days resulted in the death of so many. The weapon called as Brahmastra has found its place  in many Hindu texts. The founder of this weapon is believed to be lord Brahma the creator.
                  From all the facts and evidences stated earlier one can only wonder whether the concept of WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction) is new to the modern world or just a technology derived from our past. Now the question arises , Did an ancient race walked planet Earth before us?? Does these gods and demigods really walk among us?? As of now we can only wonder the possibilities until the time comes when the real truth behind is unfold. But one thing is very certain, we cannot just neglect or throw away these evidences that somehow indicates the presence of nuclear weapons long before we knew the present world.
